 My wife and I purchased this washer at Lowes for $450 + Tax. The washer cleans fine, but forget about the "quiet noise reduction" which Whirlpool describes as "...a sound absorbing pad on the front of the cabinet." One would thing there is some insulating pad (foam or fiberglass). There is NO insulating pad and this is deceptive advertising. This is a good washer, but DON'T buy it because you are looking for a quiet washer. This insulating pad is Whirlpool's version of "The Emperor's Clothes". I guess Whirlpool was looking for some way to distinguish this model from the one below it and they decided that instead of putting a dollars worth of foam on front and side panels, they would just declare it "quiet" and thus it would be so. |  |
