My new theater room will soon be completed and I spent about 2 weeks researching a Home Theater System. Should I get a projector or LCD TV, do I want a 5.1 or 7.1 theater system. When my home work was done, I decided to go with an LCD TV. I did not go with the projector because I did not like the fact of having to replace the lamp assembly after the recommended every 2000 or 3000 hours of viewing depending on your projector and replacement lamps were about 200 bucks a pop. The winning TV is the Sharp Aquos 65inch LCD 1080p which I actually have not purchased yet. What I did buy now was the Sony HTSS2300 5.1 theater System and the BDP-S350 Blu-Ray DVD Player and I gave it a test run on my Sony 40inch LCD 1080p. Now, I'm no electronics expert, but I'm very pleased with my purchase. It may not be one of those super high end and high priced setups but I'm telling you, the sound and picture is awsome and setup is easy and at only $700 bucks for both pieces, Wow! I can't wait to fire it up on the big screen Sharp once my theater room is done. Hey, Thank You Sony!
