| | | | Posted By Joseph from New Mexico | | | | | | Just purchased Image 8.5 elliptical machine from WalMart. The price is attractive at $295 including taxes and 2 year extended warranty. Assembly was pretty straight forward with better than average instructions and a fastner kit with matching labels to the drawings ! Use a ratchet and hex bit to tighten the button head screws that attach the main frame to the front cross foot. The supplied allen wrenches do not give you enough leverage to properly tighten these bolts which results in a wobbly workout. Properly tightened, the machine straightened out and seems to be a pretty good machine for the money. The welds on my machine looked good, continuous and smooth with a good quality powder coat finish. Double heavy steel bushings at all moving junctions should give the machine lots of years of use. I think the joints should be opened for re-lubrication once a year, but no one will probably ever do it which will probably lead to squeaking, binding and perhaps lockup. There is a clever height adjustment for the upper body hand levers, but I have reservations about how the plastic clamp mechanisms will hold up over time. Anyway, first day says a good value for an entry level elliptical from the ICON group. I will report again after some regular use.

| | Summary:
     | "Does It Come With AC Adapter?" Posted By Jazmin from Washington | | Pros: | Surprisingly durable for the price | | Cons: | Nothing | | | | | | I recently purchased the Image 9.5 as a demonstration model off the showroom floor. Later I realized I had not asked about the AC adapter. Does anyone know what the specs are (output voltage, amperage and polarity) so I can stop using the 4-D batteries that rundown every couple of months? This is a great and surprisingly reliable elliptical (for the price) that I use every day (sometimes twice a day.) I'm 215 lbs, so it's not some piece of junk.
