This is a great curling iron. Costs a lot less than most others, and works fine. It takes a while to heat up properly though, but then it also costs less so you get what you pay for.

I used this product until it recently blew up while I was using it. Right before it blew up it made a big spark out of the ceramic plate about 5 or 6 inches long. Then smoke came out of it.

The Caruso steam roller set is advertised as not being as damaging because it uses steam to heat the rollers, not electricity. I agree to an extent, but the rollers tend to snag your hair, plus, heat is heat, regardless of where it came from. It creates a different type of curl, which is nice, but it doesn't stay in as well.

If you need lose waves and aren't good with other rollers, velcro rollers are an excellent purchase. I like the big ones for creating volume, and the smaller ones for corkscrew curls. A tip is to blowdry hair partially, wrap the rollers in your hair, and dry the rest of the way. Your hair will stay all day!
