It isn't as strong as a gel, but if you use more than a dab you might have to wash again. It makes it smooth and flexible and reduces the flyaways. It is especially helpful if I don't blow-dry and I am wearing my hair curly. I think it works well, but don't spray on too much. A tiny bottle will last you a lifetime - more is not better in this case! I like to hold my hair sticking straight up and then spray it so I get a lot of volume at the roots.     Add Review Share Read Review   Pantene Pro-V Texturize Hairspray Ultra Hold If I have an event like a wedding or something that requires an up-do I like to use this texturizing hair spray because it doesn't make my hair crisp. It is also really inexpensive, and I don't want to spend a ton of money when I don't use a product a lot. I like the brand in general, but it made my frizzy, wavy hair just a little crispy, which I don't usually like. I think the secret is to just use a touch, and then to blow dry. They all work essentially the same, in my opinion, but this one is considerably less expensive. Regardless, be careful not to spray too much because your hair will clump and get greasy...not shiny.     Add Review Share Read Review   Nexxus Maxxishine Anti-Frizz & Shine Spray - 2 OZ This is a spray you put onto dry hair that supposedly increases the shine. It seems to deflect some light, but be very careful not to spray on too much, because it will very quickly make your hair greasy and stringly!     Add Review Share Read Review
