Magnavox DVD Recorder w/ Digital Tuner, ZC352MW8
You go through all the setups, get everything ready to go. Turn your back on it and next time your turn it on all settings are gone! Makes it worthless for timer recording and frustrating for anything else. I've done this dance 4-5 times in the two weeks I've had it.
Emailed "customer support" to see if this was a known issue and if there was a cure or the result of fauty design. So far no response even though Funai's dismal web page touts a response in 24 hours. We are well beyond that already.
There was a day that Magnavox products had a bit of quality in them but now that they are being stamped out by Funai those days are long gone.

RCA DRC8030N DVD Recorder with Hard Drive
i love this machine. I want another one but am unable to locate it in any store. Where can i find them? I might even buy two. I give it a five star rating. I would like abigger hard drive. |

TIVO TCD648250B TIVO Series3 HD 300-Hour DVR
I upgraded from the "normal" Tivo to this one because it has HD capabilities. Of course, TIVO being what it is, its great to be able to skip ads and unnecessary bits and pieces. Its great. I can record whole seasons of my favorite shows without having to clear the memory. If you have the money, buy this! |
