Understanding and Using English Grammar -Text Only   Understanding and Using English Grammar -Text Only

I have been teaching ESL for 5 years; and, I believe that the books by Betty Schrampfer Azar are the best! This particular book has been very helpful with teaching; and, my students love it --- especially the answer key. I wish it contained more instructions on the conditional and subjective tenses and English idioms. Anonymous, April 5, 2008

Learning American Sign Language DVD to Accompany Learning American Sign Language, 2/E   Learning American Sign Language DVD to Accompany Learning American Sign Language, 2/E

This is a great way to learn sign language. I got it for my kids because I thought they would find it fun. They have really gotten into it without realizing it is another skill they have learned.

I bought this book for the USMLE test. I haven't used it as of yet, since I got it to review with while doing the first two years of medical school.

Basic Histology: Text & Atlas with CDROM   Basic Histology: Text & Atlas with CDROM

I bought this book for my senior year Cell Structure and Function class. I thought it was an OK book, although it could have been better organized. The pages are very dense when it comes to the material you need to know. So, don't get deceived by the short amount of pages.

Hamlet by William Shakespeare, ISBN 0812036387   Hamlet by William Shakespeare, ISBN 0812036387

As the title of the collection says, this book definitely makes shakespeare easy to understand. I bought this because I was in dire need of Shakespearean translation, and this book did the easy-breezy trick! It shows the modern translation for every page: on the left is the original text, and on the right is the language we are more familiar with! I was saved because of this little book!

Cirque Du Freak Boxed Set #2   Cirque Du Freak Boxed Set #2

I bought a friend's son the first boxed set for his birthday and he liked it so much that I used the next holiday to buy him the second boxed set. He loved this as well and is begging me to buy him the third set if there is one. I will, one day.

I bought this for a friend's son for his birthday as my son and I loved the adventures of Darren Shan. This boy loved it too, especially the title character, and couldn't wait to read the rest of the books.

Killers of the Dawn   Killers of the Dawn

A great book in the Darren Shan series. The wrap up of the Hunter series within a series, so I bought it. I enjoyed the fact that he killed off a major character, although I won't say who. A great read.

I'm hooked on the series, so I bought the third book. Darren and crew leave the circus which was a nice change of pace for the series. I especially liked the addition of Debbie Hemlock. A great read.

The Vampires Assistant: Cirque Du Freak-The Nightmare Continues...(on Front Jacket) The Saga of Darren Shan, Book 2 (on Title Page) by Darren Shan, ISBN 0316606103   The Vampires Assistant: Cirque Du Freak-The Nightmare Continues...(on Front Jacket) The Saga of Darren Shan, Book 2 (on Title Page) by Darren Shan, ISBN 0316606103

Darren Shan's first book was good, so I bought the second one. This second tale is as good as the first; scary, exciting, and introduces more characters than before.

My son and I saw this in the bookstore and thought it was interesting so we bought it. Both of us loved the story, which was creepy, gross and thrilling.

Curse of the Bane   Curse of the Bane

I read the first book, the Wizard's Apprentice, and liked it a lot, so I bought this. Tom continues his adventure with the Spook and Alice, this time against the Bane. The writing was good and the pictures really added to the action. I kept wanting to skip ahead, which shows this book is good.

Practice McAts   Practice McAts

This is not really a "textbook" with actual information in it. It is more of a printed study guide. It might be great to have if you want to buy it, but you're better off finding a copy at the library and thumbing through it.Only has 2 practice tests.
