Lets Play Veterinarian!
This is the greatest toy ever! My kid won't put it away! He literally plays with this toy everyday which is very unusual for any toy. He usually plays with most of his toys for about an hour then into the toy chest it goes. But not this one, he keeps playing with it over and over. Bravo to the creator. |

Pretend Play Toys : Folding Castle Play Set
Thank youi for your time and consideration! Really!
My name is Mary Shumway and I will again be teaching in the library. I need your assistance in turning our library around... This campus, has had MANY years of the TYPICAL, serious,"shhhh" librarians. I feel as an EARLY childhood campus (Pre-k thru 2nd grade) the library must be exciting and "updated" to reach many of the students. The school is on board, the teachers are on board, the parents are on board...... BUT: The down side is that my hands are tied when trying to "budget" new ideas, themes, changes. Infact, I have NO budget at all for these changes.......except my pocketbook!
This is where you, your company (maybe) can help us out. I realize the cost of your products is far beyond my abilities...as I actually have NO budget to for supplies to decorate or change the decor. (As an aide my own money is not much) I know you may not can donate a large amount of items.....maybe a partial, returned item or "not perfect"....a smaller one? I found many of your CASTLE items and thought you might could donate a few items. I am asking, begging you to consider making a donation of any of your Castle theme items. I know, you have just yelled out....WHAT?????
I need to back-track a bit..... I want to use the Castle theme to start the year. We hope to Honor/Spotlight an Author (Jane Moncure) from Magic Castle Readers. The author actually donated 5 of her books to our library as we did not have them. Anyway, it has been hard to gain donations, as I am new to the library (with district since 2000), this is a new avenue that some see as an EXTRA, and honestly, as I am just starting the process, I can't really use "The others are giving" to persuade anyone...unless you join in the deal. I have asked for some assistance thru a few chain-stores (only have Walmart in Commerce) but they do not give to "small organizations". Yes, I am using guilt to solicit them too.
WE have over 20% of our population at poverty level and a high percentage of our students are ESL (non English).
I have a dream for this library, these kids...but without help from beyond the walls of Commerce Elementary, I will be giving the students LESS then they DESERVE....we just don't have money!
Can you, will you try to see what you are able to help with. Maybe you can offer something else to help us start of the year. Anything, any item that you offer will be used to educate and help the students experience the world thru books and their imaginations!
I will close in saying,
To those that have much..... much is expected.
That was not about your company.....Rather my students. Please help them begin their school years with "MUCH" so that each of the students will know how important their lives, their goals, their dreams are and that they too are now equipped and expected to GIVE BACK. We need to start a new chain..........not just break the old!
For the kiddos, I ask for your generosity.

YOUniverse Laser Beam Safe
Very loud and annoying. They should make these products a little easier for kids and parents. But, my daughter loves it. |

Inside/Outside Cook n Grill Kitchen
We just purchased this item for our 2 year old granddaughter for her birthday. Even though the product inducates 3+, she immediately knew what to do with both the kitchen side and the outdoor grill side of this product. The chef's hat was a big hit and I suspect she'll sleep with it on tonight! We cautioned her mother about possibly keeping the coffee pot from her for a while since it has liquid inside that looks like coffee. Other than that one item, everything else was perfect for a 2 year old. It took us about 1 1/2 hrs. to assemble completely, but it was well worth the effort after seeing the joy it brought to Peyton's face! I would recommend this kitchen set for any young child. |

Pastel Kitchenette
This is a really fun toy that I purchased for my nieces and nephews (hey, the boys love it too!) They seriously spend hours down there play cooking and have a great time...yet somehow they still don't want to help out with the real cooking! Ha! At least they have a great time with it. |
