There are three main features that made me choose it over other office chairs. First of all, it has knee-tilt. Knee-tilt means that the chair tilts from the front, rather than the middle of the chair. This enables the user to tilt back relatively easily, without raising their knees and making them adjust the height of the chair. The trade-off with knee-tilt is that the chair tilts back more readily than a chair with center-tilt. However, this chair has a good tilt-lock feature, so this shouldn’t be too much of a problem (read on for more info on this). The next feature that separates this office chair from many others is the style of its arms. So-called “cantilevered arms” are supported from the back of the chair, rather than the seat of the chair. This enables the user more freedom to shift positions, and to move from side to side. This feature is also important to me, because I often find my legs uncomfortably hitting the arms of a chair as I move around in it. However, the cantilevered arms have one problem, and it is perhaps the only reservation I have about recommending this chair: they are not height-adjustable. As such, I find the arms are a little bit too low for me, and that my arms are often not as well supported by the chair arms as I’d like. I wish the arms were height-adjustable (even if the user could only pick different heights for the arms during assembly). Again, this is perhaps the one flaw I see in this chair. Finally, perhaps the most unique feature of this chair (at least, in this price range) is its excellent tilt-lock feature. Most chairs that tilt only lock in one position: entirely upright. I find this quite annoying, since it is useful to be able to lock the tilt of the chair in other positions, so that one can adjust one’s position without changing the tilt of the chair. Fortunately, this chair locks in one of 3 positions: entirely upright, partially tilting, and fully tilted (or almost fully tilted). Again, based on what I’ve seen, this feature is quite rare in chairs of this price range. In conclusion, I am glad I purchased this chair. It is well-designed and has some great features considering its (relatively low) price.
