I like this VisiKey large print keyboard because it has really helped my Grandma become computer and email savvy. We got her this keyboard to help get her started and it has really enabled her to get good at typing on a computer and emailing. |

Touch pad is too far to the left. To use comefortably, I find that I move the keyboard from left to right depending if I'm using the keypad or the keys. Woul not purchase this one again. |

have tried many keyboards over the last ten years and this is one of the worst products I have used so far.
Hardware:
The hardware design is very fragile. Within the first week of use the stand and lap lock has broken. The all plastic design does not hold up well under normal usage. The switch for changing between HID and SPP mode failed within 60 days of use.
Documentation:
The documentation provided in the packaging and on the Freedom Web site does not provides the limited information about connecting the keyboard to hand held devices. The connection process is difficult to setup not to mention the frequent dropped connections. I have used this with multiple devices and have found this to be a consistent problem with all operating systems.
Software:
Installation of the software was easy. That's about all the good news!
Once installed I had to request an unlock code to use the keyboard. This was a real pain as I was traveling when the keyboard was purchased and had to wait until I had an internet connection to get the unlock code. Since the code is only good for one device I had to request a separate code for each device I wanted to use the keyboard with. It took over a week to get each additional codes. There is a very limited number of features in the software and no help file. The Windows Mobile SmartPhone software would never successfully install on any phone.
Support:
support requests were not answered for over a week and the Online support is always off line and multiple attempts to get help through the tech support chat window went unanswered.
Overall this is one of the worst keyboard products I have ever purchased. |
